OSI 20M TS (posted by Herbert, Belgium)
Officine Stampaggi Industriali (OSI) was set up in 1960 as a subsidiary of Ghia to build cars like the Innocenti Spyder. By the time the OSI 20M TS went into production in 1967 OSI employed some 800 people. The beautiful design by Sergio Sartorelli brought the best of Italian flare and underpinned it with the ultra-reliable mechanicals of the mass produced Ford Taunus P5. Ford shipped all the necessary parts from Cologne to Turin and in return received completed cars to sell through their sales network. Some two thousand 2000S models and two hundred and twenty 2300S models were made between 1967 and 1968 and were particularly popular in Germany. The entire technology, in addition, switch, pedals, seat fittings and much more corresponded to the Ford 20M TS (Taunus P5).
Highest performance engine of the series P5 was the 2,0-l-HC-V6 with 90 HP of the 20M TS.
The maximum speed amounted to 165 km/h (OSI 20M TS: 170 km/h), the acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h took place in 14.0 seconds (OSI 20M TS: 14.2 seconds). With appearance of the P7 in August 1967 the OSI 20M TS was equipped in series with the new 2,3-l-HC-V6 with 108 HP. It reached with this motor a maximum speed of 180 km/h, the acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h took place in 11.7 seconds.
